A global material and chemical industrial leader was interested in identifying potential market opportunities for conductive plastics in the automotive, aerospace, and government market sectors. 

To accomplish the research goals, the Ciprus team met with producers of infotainment systems, ECU modules, power inverters, starters, and alternators.

Target companies were identified along with key personnel within the companies. Ciprus set up meetings with the teams and presented the potential products and attributes to the teams. 

The potential product opportunities were evaluated on a series of technical product attributes and capabilities. The effort lead to a high degree of interest in the potential product which further lead to several commercial opportunities. 

Overall, the engagement resulted in a high degree of success along with a number of business opportunites.

Opportunities for Additive Manufacturing in the 5G Environment

A global technology and material manufacturer was interested in exploring potential opportunities utilizing additive manufacturing in the 5G market sector. 

To complete this engagement, the Ciprus team identified potential product producers of components used in the 5G environment. Calls and meetings were established with the target companies, and their needs were explored along with the attributes they were seeking in the components.

As a result, several potential opportunities were uncovered which the research sponsor could follow to fruition. 

Architectural OLED Lighting Opportunities

A leading commercial ceiling products producer was interested in brainstorming potential architectural applications for OLED (organic light-emitting diodes) in lighting applications.  

Ciprus convened a series of 4 sessions in New York and San Francisco with leading commercial architects, lighting designers, electrical contractors, facility managers, and building owners.

The sessions explored the potential uses of OLED in various commercial lighting applications. Factors included color temperature, energy consumption, lumens, and esthetics.

As a result, several potential applications were developed that were pursued by the research sponsor. The client was pleased they had some solid development concepts in a short period of time.
